What if my clients can’t pick up the rhythm?

We’ve all had sessions when a client cannot “pick up the rhythm.” We asked expert Christine Stevens what she does in that situation. Click play to hear her very surprising answer!

Christine also shared this: It is sometimes hard for us as musicians to get past the judging by music. Instead, we need to judge by the smiles at the end of the session. Is anyone still singing when they are walking out the door? If so, then we’ve done our job as leaders in health care.

However, in the instance that you have someone who is REALLY off beat, don’t embarrass them. You can stop the group and have everyone switch instruments, then had that individual a rain stick or singing bells.
