Kind Words

“Ariel is astute in his knowledge of music skills in addition to his specialized therapeutic methods, especially in rhythm, drumming and percussion. This provides a strong foundation for building the therapeutic relationship, through which all progress stems. There’s a power in his creativity unlike any other drummer I’ve met, and when he’s asked to develop a beat his survey of the music and the mood always results in a mindblowingly perfect beat.”

Lucinda Anne Butler, MT-BC

“I was hesitant of whether I could truly learn these rhythms and styles. Now, I am very excited to have these styles in my back pocket for working with Hispanic clients! I work in an area with a large Hispanic population and I was very hesitant to work with them because of my lack of knowledge about their music. They are still the experts, but I at least know some styles, terminology, and ways to add to the music. Hearing everything put together at the end of each style helped me see how everything fits together. I also really enjoyed the ideas of how to apply these styles to your practice. A wonderful course – thank you!”

Rachel Nowels, MT-BC

An accomplished music therapist with a high level of expertise in rhythm, songwriting, technology and recording, and a remarkable ability to engage patients from multiple cultural backgrounds and life circumstances in individual and communal creative music centered experiences of great therapeutic value.”
