We’re here for you on all things MT TECH! And I know…. It’s hard to try new things when you’re tired and goodness knows we are all tired from this darn pandemmy. So that’s why you can lean on us for some ENERGY & JUICE!

We are THRILLED to introduce Crystal Luk-Worrall to you coming in from the UK to jam on the tech side of MT and empower youuuuuuuuuu with our newest jam-packed 8-CMTE course on tech!

So many therapists put off incorporating techs in their sessions because of the technical skills it requires. The reality is young clients thrive on using online tools and apps to express themselves (from using emojis to creating towns on Minecraft). Learning how to use these tools also allow therapists to offer a more holistic telehealth experience for clients who don’t have instruments on their ends.

By the end of the course, you’ll have created at least 3 session experiences to implement right away in your sessions using the apps & tools you learn. If you’re ready to turn your tech tools into effective, engaging session materials, this course is for you!

You’ll walk away with:

  • Demonstrations of 22 music therapy -specific tech tools that support functional goals, sensory integration, music production, and sound scape so that you can focus 100% of your time + energy on your client instead of wrestling with random apps recommended by non- music therapists!
  • 8 CMTEs of hybrid learning, offered in both real-time + recorded video tutorials so that you can feel the energy of the group AND work the lessons into your schedule with ease
  • 8 Simple Steps For MT Tech Success that any music therapy technology novice will feel immediate success with!
  • Tips on how to play with technology in the most efficient and fun way so that you’re not wasting any time. Learn tools for Telehealth, song-making tools, sensory integration, soundscape creation, sound sequencing, and tools that encourage vocal sound production

In addition, I will present examples of how these tools were used in clinical settings, featuring 1) a case study of using GarageBand to facilitate a child’s expression of anger, 2) a case study of using Chrome Music Lab Song Maker to facilitate an adolescent to reflect on her therapy journey, and 3) a case study of using Chrome Music Lab Song Maker and GarageBand to facilitate a child to compose a musical portrait of her family in reflection on their relationship.

You don’t have to be perfect with the tools you use, you just need to be ‘good enough’ to hold a creative space for your client, and we will get you there!
