Trauma is something that touches everyone at some point or another and dealing with traumatic memories is something that music therapists can truly help clients to navigate with our unique understanding of music, the brain, and memory. Trauma informed care is important for all providers to gain mastery in the delivery of care for our clients and patients regardless of setting because the potential for trauma related needs exists in all populations. With our ethics code as a guide, you will be equipped to practice music therapy through a trauma Informed lens.

Cultural considerations are central to conceptualizing treatment of this population. In addition, trauma as a result of experiences within different cultural groups is relevant to this workshop.

By taking this live class, you’ll walk away with…

  • 12 written application session ideas so you can put theory into practice right away
