Mary Altom, MT-BC

Mary is the founder and owner of Sound Starts Music, a private practice in Frisco, TX and Music Therapy Kids, an online resource for parents, teachers, and therapists. She has worked in the Texas schools, serving kids and fortifying music therapy programs for over 8 years. Giving children opportunities to learn through music is Mary’s passion, and she is a firm believer that music is a language that transcends DIS-ability and creates A-bility. Mary is a board-certified music therapist, neurologic music therapist, and graduate from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor’s in Music – Music Therapy.
