Devyn Burns has been a board-certified music therapist going on four years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in music therapy and a minor in psychology from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2018. Devyn went on to complete her clinical internship at The Center for Discovery in New York focusing on clinical improvisation. Since then, she has completed her Master of Arts in Music Therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods college in May 2022, and has worked for many different facilities and populations supporting a wide variety of needs which include a private practice setting
serving neurodiverse individuals through the Indiana Medicaid Wavier and a mental health and addictions detox hospital for adolescents and adults. Devyn is currently working for an inner-city, Title I elementary school in Indianapolis serving as their music therapist and mental health and behavior specialist. Devyn value authenticity, holism, and clinical musicianship in all the work she does. When Devyn is not working as a music therapist, she loves to gig at bars and breweries around Indy, hike and camp, and play with her three-legged pup, Winston!
